The Sovini Group raises over:- £12,000 for local charity at their annual Golf Day

THE Annual Sovini Group Golf Day brought together 80 golfers from the housing and commercial sector at Childwall Golf Club to compete in the sold out event, which was hosted by local comedian Willie Millar.

The guests and 23 sponsors in attendance collectively raised over:- £12,000 for the Pride of Sefton.

The Pride of Sefton is a community-focused wide beam canal boat operated by Sovini Charities, and proceeds from the event will be used to provide concessionary trips to local charitable and community groups.

During the day, golfers had the opportunity to win a variety of prizes donated by local companies and were also able to bid on auction items including:- Liverpool and Everton FC Hospitality.

Ann Owens from the Pride of Sefton said:- "We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen to receive this very generous donation from The Sovini Group. The funds will enable us to continue providing concessionary trips to local charitable and community groups, supporting people across the Liverpool City Region."

College Training Restaurant placed among the top 10% of restaurants worldwide

HUGH Baird College's L20 Restaurant announced that Tripadvisor has recognised it as a 2023 Travelers' Choice award winner. The coveted award celebrates restaurants that have consistently received excellent reviews on the review website over the last 12 months, placing L20 Restaurant among the 10% of all listings on Tripadvisor globally.

L20 Restaurant is the training restaurant within Hugh Baird College's L20 Hotel School. Launched in 2013, the School shapes the future of the Hospitality industry by providing education, training, work experience and inspiration for those taking their 1st steps into the industry

The School is geared up just like a professional restaurant; so not only does it have a team of dedicated teaching staff, but also a head chef, sous chefs, a restaurant manager and 2 restaurant supervisors; who, with students; run the core of the restaurant.
