Formby Village Nativity 2023

THE annual Formby Village Nativity was held on:- Saturday, 16 December 2023, within the Formby Pool Gardens. The event is run by Churches Together, Formby, Altcar and Hightown, in partnership this year with both Make Noise and Make More Noise choirs. The 2023 play was written and directed by Dympna Edwardsm sound was by Mark Edwards, and coral arrangements by Catherine Last.

The event also had the Mayor of Sefton, Councillor June Burns attending. The performance was conducted by a cast of 21 local residents took the form of a more traditional telling of the Nativity this year, with a Mother reading the story our to her 2 children and the rest of the cast re-enacting the story of the very 1st Christmas.

This was a very well received event that even had free Mulled wine provided at the end by Formby Elim Church (Lighthouse Church) to warm every one up, on what was a deceptively cold day. Also Formby Pool's support and shelters made a huge difference to the proceedings.
