Former Sefton 6th Form College Students release Liverpool based Comedy / Drama series:- "Birchall's Pints" on Amazon Prime Vide

2 former Sefton 6th Form College students, Conor O'Neil and Ethan Campbell, known collectively as:- 'Some Guys with a Camera' together with their friends Matthew and John Reynolds, recently released a 6 part comedy series on the video streaming platform Amazon Prime called:- 'Birchall's Pints.'

Conor and Ethan met at Sefton Sixth Form College, previously known as the South Sefton Campus of Hugh Baird College. Here, they both studied the A-level in Film Studies and quickly became firm friends.

The series focuses on staff at a fictional craft brewery called Birchalls which is struggling to compete with its new rivals in the industry. The series follows the brewery owners, William and Thomas Birchall, trying to avoid public scandals and maintain their infamous beer brand.

The talented quartet have produced several short films, including:- "Noel" and "Blackbird." In 2020 to 2021, the challenge of COVID lockdowns stopped media productions worldwide. In order to keep creating content during this period, the group wrote the script for Birchall's Pints and began rehearsing via Zoom. Through their hard work and a successful crowdfunding campaign raising over £2,000, they brought the idea to life with an intense 19 day shoot.

When speaking with us, Conor O'Neil, Co-Creator and Executive Producer said:- "It's the support of our brilliant team, crew and supporters who have joined us on the production that have made this what it is, many of whom I studied with in College. The skills developed through studying at Sefton Sixth Form College, and the support they offered afterwards certainly helped our vision come to life."

Ethan Campbell, Co-Creator and Executive Producer, followed this with:- "Working on Birchall's pints and everything that followed came entirely from the friends I made at College. The show has the spirit of Liverpool running through its veins and is full of laughter, crying and all the ambition and love of its creators."

Matthew O'Regan, Film and Media Studies tutor at Sefton Sixth Form College said:- "Conor and Ethan are natural filmmakers who were a pleasure to work with. During their time with us, they developed their filmmaking and writing skills, producing excellent scripts and films for their coursework projects, and building a great partnership. Both students demonstrated their love and passion for film, and I am thrilled to see them thriving as filmmakers and producers"

Birchall's Pints is available to download or buy on Amazon Prime Video.  Those wishing to find out more about A-level Film Studies at Sefton Sixth Form College should visit:- SeftonSixth.AC.UK.
