Live murder trial show returns to Liverpool with new case after 5 star reviews

THE UK's biggest and best live murder trial show:- 'Murder Trial Tonight,' returns to Liverpool over:- Saturday, 23 March to Sunday, 24 March 2024.

The immersive theatre experience is coming to the M&S Bank Arena for its second season and a new case following a sell out debut tour and glowing 5 star reviews from the West End and countless critics.

The fascinating concept invites the audience to become the jury in a live murder trial based on true events; watching the trial unfold on stage before submitting your verdict of guilty or not guilty at the end of the show. Lauded by critics and audiences far and wide, Murder Trial Tonight is a gripping and dramatic showcase like no other.

Soon to embark upon a huge 35 date UK tour, the second series' case is that of a newly married couple whose anniversary dinner takes a tragic turn. As a member of the jury, you will have full access to all the evidence and testimonies presented in court, giving you the power to decide the fate of the defendant; with plenty of twists along the way.

The enthralling night of immersive theatre is coming to the M&S Bank Arena's Auditorium in Liverpool on:- Saturday, 23 March 2024, and on:- Sunday, 24 March 2024, with afternoon and evening shows available. The North West is boosting UK security with £3.06 billion spend annually

DEFENCE spending with UK industry by the Ministry of Defence in The North West currently tops £3 billion, official statistics have revealed.

The statistics highlight the Government's commitment to continually improving the defence sector, while supporting the economy and creating hundreds of thousands of jobs across the country.

An average of £410 is being spent on defence for each person living in The North West, with this figure staying consistent in recent years, and showing the level of spending that helps keep the nation protected.

Defence Secretary, Grant Shapps said:- "As threats increase across the globe, it's crucial that investment in our Armed Forces matches that picture. That's why we're spending more than £50 billion annually on helping equip our military with cutting edge capabilities, so they can continue to protect our freedoms around the clock. These statistics demonstrate how the North West are playing a key role in that crucial work, delivering through our fantastic defence industry and boosting local prosperity."

The latest figures; latest published in the summer; also show 16,600 North West jobs are supported through the MOD's expenditure with the local defence industry.

The North West is paramount in the manufacturing of armoured Boxer vehicles for the British Army, as well as being a powerhouse for UK submarine production and manufacturing parts for weapons supplied to Ukraine.


Theatre in the Rough Launches Leadership Lab to Empower Young Arts Leaders

LIVERPOOL'S Theatre in the Rough is launching Leadership Lab, a free initiative focusing on skills development and mentoring for aspiring arts leaders aged under 25.

Integrated into the charity's expanded Youth Advisory Board, Leadership Lab will combine regular training sessions, project creation, and hands on leadership experience.

Participants will engage in workshops covering:- artistic vision, project management, fundraising, marketing, and career planning in the creative sector.

They will also receive a £300 budget and a £150 seed commission to launch their mini arts project, activating the skills built during the workshops.

Chris Fittock, Director of Theatre in the Rough, said:- "With Leadership Lab, we aim to directly empower talented young creatives to shape the artistic work they care deeply about. In a climate where young artists increasingly must produce and promote their own work, Leadership Lab gives aspiring creatives a launching pad to fully own and execute an arts project."
