Jollyes CEO Joe Wykes said:- "We really enjoyed supporting and running in the Southport Mad Dog 10k for the 1st time. It's a fantastic community event, which sees lots of money raised for local charities by the runners. There was a brilliant atmosphere as we ran around the course, made better by the sheer enthusiasm of the runners and the encouragement from people cheering and the bands dotted around making it very lively. We've enjoyed huge support from customers since we opened our new Jollyes store in Southport in 2022 and are proud to be part of the community supporting events in the Town and local pet parents. We'd like to thank the organisers of the event, everyone who supported it and all who took part."

Southport Mad Dog 10k was founded by Southport Hesketh Round Table. which continues to support it.

Peter Brooks from the Mad Dog team said:- "This year's Southport Mad Dog 10k was a tremendous success. We enjoyed great weather; great sportsmanship; a great atmosphere in the sports hall and on the course; and a great turnout. We saw even more people sign up this year than last year, it was a superb spectacle. The event all went together really well. Congratulations to all our winners, including Luke Minns, who won the men's race for the 3rd year in succession. It was fabulous to see so many colourful and imaginative fancy dress costumes. We are looking to confirm the date for next year's Southport Mad Dog 10k very soon and will be releasing those details in due course. As organisers, we would like to thank everyone concerned for being part of such a successful event. We would particularly like to thank Jollyes, our headline sponsors. It really helped having bands and musicians entertaining runners throughout the course. We are also grateful to The Waterfront Hotel in Southport for providing bottles of water at all the water Stations."
