Southport Community Fire Station Open Day 2024

ON Saturday, 22 June 2024, Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service hosted an:- Open Day, at:- Southport Community Fire Station on:- Manchester Road. The Station is a purpose built joint Fire and Ambulance Station and is the last of a new generation of PFI funded Fire Stations across the North West of England.

This event was extremely successful, and as you can see, the local firefighters, showed members of the public the station's fire engines and appliances, along with putting on demonstrations. Also attending were representatives of the North West Ambulance Service, the Coastguard, and Southport Lifeboat Trust. Not only that, but the Police also had a vehicle on display along with members of Merseyside Fire Cadet Units.
