Stem Cell Scousers Summer Fete

THE Stem Cell Scousers ran a free Summer Fete called;- 'FLAME' on:- Saturday, 3 August 2024, at Formby Pool. The event run by Stem Cell Scousers, who are a small Formby group which partners with the Anthony Nolan Stem Cell Donor Register Charity.

It gave respite to the unpleasant happens that have affected us all on Merseyside. But, due to the on going tension following the killing of 3 young girls in Southport, the event was not as well attended as planned. Many of those we spoke to said they nervous but still wanted to raise cash for the charity.

The event had a few stands, and also held a raffle with the Star Prize is a framed and signed Liverpool FC shirt, signed by midfielder Endo.

It also had live music, a penalty shootout game, plus model train rides.

Southport lights up Pink in memory of Elsie, Alice and Bebe

BUILDINGS in Southport turned on the pink lights in memory of the 3 young girls who died in the knife attack in Southport. The colourful act took place over:- 2 August to 5 August 2024, with other public buildings and businesses throughout the UK also taking part. These are 2 of the locations on Lord Street, in Southport, we managed to get photos of. They are The Atkinson and the Nostalgia Tea Rooms.
