Lily May's Prom Dresses Fashion Show 2024

ON Sunday, 27 October 2024, at The Engine Room, within Wayfarers Shopping Arcade, Southport, Lily May's held a Prom Dresses Fashion Show.

This catwalk event was opened by Charlotte Grant, the current Miss Liverpool City Region. Sadly, Charlotte who had planned to stay for the full event had to go early as she was ill.

The others taking part in the catwalk event were all from a local School, aged between:- 15 and 16,  and had never done this type of thing before. Despite having only had a few hours of training, they did an amazing job, particularly wrestling with long, unfamiliar dresses at times, as you can see in our video coverage of the event.

This footage is of the show and the fantastic modelling of the dresses:-

Well done to all the 6 young ladies who participated in the catwalk.

Charlotte later commented:- "After meeting them all and also seeing the footage, I have to say I was extremely impressed. Doing a show like this is not easy and takes a lot of confidence to do it.. I wish them all the best with their GCSE's and hope to see them on many more catwalks in the future."

If you are a teenager getting ready for a party, wedding, or other celebrations, you can get your Prom Dresses from Lily May's, which is also located within the Wayfarers Arcade.

Lily May's also has bridal gowns, hats, and fascinators, to hire or buy, for the bride or groom, along with wedding guest outfits.

We think it is also worth adding that the Arcade has lots of other shops that can help you, from award-winning hair and ceramic salons to exceptional high-quality alteration services, who all help to create the perfect look for that big occasion.
