Celebratory Gin & Fizz evening at Connell Court Care Home in Southport hits all the right notes

A Gin & Fizz evening held at Connell Court Care Home in Southport to celebrate being under new ownership hit all the right notes.

A pianist was playing to entertain guests as they arrived at the welcoming venue on Weld Road near Birkdale Village.

Residents, their families, visitors and staff members were delighted to enjoy:- 'An Evening of New Beginnings' with great music, drinks and delicious food.

The event was held to mark Connell Court becoming part of the Crestview Care family, with the new owners already investing to make improvements to the facilities on offer.

Some of the owners were at the Gin & Fizz night to catch up with guests.

It was an opportunity for people keen to learn more about what Connell Court has to offer, as they were invited to come in, chat with staff members and have a look around the home.

Anyone who missed it is welcome to get in touch with the team at Connell Court who would be happy to provide them with more details.

Connell Court Home Manager Anna Harvey said:- "It was a really positive event. Everyone who came had a great time, including:- our residents and their families. We were happy to see some former members of staff who came back to celebrate with us. The new owners were very impressed with how well it went, and they enjoyed being able to meet and chat with everyone who was there. It was a really lovely atmosphere, helped by Stuart, our pianist for the evening. We always talk about the 'Connell Court family' and it's not a cliche, it's very true. We always get to know our residents, and their children, their grandchildren, the people who are close to them. It was good for all the family members to be able to come in and meet other families, who are going through similar experiences to them. Next week we are looking forward to putting up our Christmas decorations! They always look good and it gives a lovely festive feeling to the home. When the new owners came in, they made a pledge to invest and improve the facilities here, and they have been hard at work ever since. They have already begun the process of renovating the entire 1st floor of the building. We are excited to see all the improvements happening. We have some spaces available at Connell Court. If anyone would like to come and have a look around, or would like to know more information, please get in touch, we'd be happy to speak with you."
