The Hightown Village Christmas Tree Light Switch 2024

ON Tuesday, 26 November 2024, Hightown Parish Council held its annual Village Christmas Light Switch On. The cold night did not put the residents of the small coastal Village form heading out to the Village Green to see the Christmas Tree turned on. Playing on the Christmas Carols on the night were members of the Salvation Army Band and HIghtown Village Singers lead the singing. The Christmas Tree was installed by Sefton Council, food was provided by the village corner store. The PA on the night was provided by Andy Johnson, and lights that light up the green were provided by the Parish Council. Well done to all involved. This event might have been small compeard to many, but it was extremely traditional, with lots of atmosphere. We also noted that and everyone were extremely hospitable.
