Maghull Christmas Tree Lighting 2024

ON a very cold Saturday, in Maghull, on:- 30 November 2024, Mayor Cllr Ken Hughes joined members of the Town Council along with residents to take part in the lighting ceremony. This year's event was held outside the Westway Health Centre. Starting the proceedings were hosted by much loved Southport performer Kelly Bond, followed by a short presentation and the lights being switched on. Both MP Bill Esterson along with the Mayor and Chair of Maghull Council, Councillor Ken Hughes 'turned' the tree lights on... This years event was considerably smaller than previous years, but it was still a very good experience and the tree looks fantastic! In a nice touch, the Town Council dedicated the tree this year to the NHS and to the 3 young lives lost in the stabbings in Southport earlier in the year.
