Our Lady of Compassion Formby Christmas Fayre and Craft Market

ON Saturday, 30 November 2024, Our Lady of Compassion Formby, held a Christmas Fayre and Craft Market at the Gild Hall and Activity Centre, on Church Road. The event was well attended with lots to see and do. We were extremely impressed by the Guide's model Snowmen and Snow sculptures, but we think for many of the young people attending, and some older people, the highlight was the man in red. Yes, Father Christmas attended the event, within a nicely decorated Grotto! Other interesting things included lots of family games with prizes, tombola, even a carrot pulling game, along with a Grand Raffle. If that was not enough, refreshments were also available! And that was just the smaller activity centre. The main Hall had 20 local crafts and gifts businesses selling a wide range of handmade crafts, and delicious treats, plus more...
