Linaker Primary School Joins Endeavour Learning Trust

LINAKER Primary School in Southport has officially become part of the Endeavour Learning Trust, following approval from the Department for Education.

This new chapter for Linaker opens up new possibilities at the School, pooling resources with a well established local trust that aims to ignite children's curiosity and inspire discovery.

By joining Endeavour, Linaker is strengthening its commitment to providing the highest quality education, while accessing additional resources to further improve children's time at the School.

Linaker will continue to pursue its core aims of helping its students flourish and grow, encouraging them to pursue lifelong learning and build resilience through their time at School.

The School will also now have the added benefit of sharing expertise and best practice with like minded Schools across the North West, allowing for increased professional development for the staff there as part of the wider Endeavour trust.

Endeavour, which supports Schools across:- South Ribble, West Lancashire, and North Sefton, is known for its commitment to all its students thriving, whilst encouraging individuality and collaboration.

With 4 Secondary Schools and 3 Primary Schools already part of the trust, Linaker now joins a broader community dedicated to delivering excellence in education.

Jan Holmes, Headteacher, at Linaker Primary said:- "Joining the Endeavour family is a big step for Linaker. We have a plan to make Linaker the best possible School it can be, where our students and staff have opportunities to grow and flourish, and joining Endeavour brings this goal into closer reach for us. By joining a local, well established trust like Endeavour we are unlocking new possibilities for our children, and I look forward to working with the other Schools in the trust to maximise our School's potential."

David Clayton, CEO of Endeavour Learning Trust, said:- "I am delighted to welcome Linaker Primary to Endeavour Learning Trust at a time of significant opportunity for them. As part of the Endeavour family, we aim to build on their positive ethos while providing enhanced opportunities for staff development and pupil achievement. By combining our resources and expertise within a wider network, Linaker Primary can achieve even greater success in delivering educational excellence."

Ice Skating Southport has been brought to Town for the 3rd year in a row by North West Marquee Hire.

The management team said:- "We're really pleased to be back at Victoria Park in Southport! There is something really magical about ice skating in December, around the festive season. It brings happy memories for so many people. We welcomed around 12,000; 13,000 people last year, it was so popular. It gets particularly busy during the School Christmas holidays, so it's worth booking ahead for your slot if you can. It's fantastic for children and for families, but we get people of all ages coming to enjoy ice skating. We can accommodate people in wheelchairs to come ice skating, although we ask them if they can contact us in advance, so we can make sure they are coming at a suitable time which is best for them. We can do group booking for 10 or over just contact us via our website. It took a group of us 9 days to install the ice rink; it's real ice, not synthetic; and it's worth it to see the enjoyment on everyone's faces. The ice skating rink is situated inside a large marquee. An adjacent marquee is where we provide food and drink, with an on site bar, and food including:- burgers, sausages and more. We will be adding authentic German food from 16 December onwards. If you have been to see us over the past 2 years, it is a similar layout this year. We always have at least 3 members of staff on duty at any 1 time, including:- trained 1st aiders. We are open until 30th December at the moment, but may decide to extend that if there is sufficient demand."
