BTR Liverpool Joins Forces With Barry's Liverpool As Training Partner 2025

LEADING independent race event organiser BTR Liverpool has announced a new partnership with Barry's Liverpool to run throughout 2025. Barry's Liverpool is located on the 5th floor of stylish department store Flannels in Liverpool City Centre. The boutique fitness studio; home to the world's original strength and cardio interval training workout; has a global reputation as:- 'The Best Workout In The World.'

The BTR Liverpool race and fun run portfolio attracts in the Region of 20,000 entries every year, with the ability of participants spanning both ends of the spectrum; from absolute beginners to vastly experienced marathon runners, as well as runners who push themselves even further.

Barry's Liverpool is the Official Training Partner for BTR events in 2025. This partnership will include supporting participants in improving fitness, speed, and performance in classes and through running tips shared online.

An expert trainer team from Barry's Liverpool will host a series of free community classes to enable race participants to experience an iconic Barry's workout for themselves; paid for training programmes geared to run alongside specific BTR races; as well as attending BTR events throughout the year to engage with runners on race day.

BTR Liverpool is the leading independent organisation for creating, managing, and delivering headline running events across Liverpool City Region.

The portfolio covers various distances across different terrains, all with an ongoing commitment to sustainability; from family friendly fun run events, 5K and 10K races,˝ marathon, and a 52 mile challenge.

The BTR Liverpool portfolio includes headline events:- BTR Liverpool˝ Marathon and BTR Liverpool Santa Dash, alongside BTR Mersey Tunnel 10K; Port Sunlight Road Race 10K and 5K, 52 mile BTR Tour Of Merseyside 6 race challenge, Women's 10K and 5K Liverpool, Wirral 10K, and Run For The 97.

1st race in this year's event calendar is for the BTR Liverpool˝ Marathon and 10 Miler, on:- Sunday, 23 March 2025. Limited˝ marathon entries remain as places are fast approaching 10,000 registrations. The 10 Miler has already sold out.

This race training programme is scheduled weekly at:- 11.30am on Sundays, from:- 26 January 2025, through to:- 16 March 2025, at Barry's Liverpool. Race participants will be notified with sign ups to complimentary community classes, at Barry's Liverpool.

Hugh Baird College Celebrates ERSA Award Nomination for Career Connect Partnership

HUGH Baird College is proud to announce its recognition as part of the prestigious ERSA (Employment Related Services Association) Employability Awards 2024. The nomination highlights the success of Turnaround, a collaborative project with Career Connect.

The Turnaround programme is a tailored initiative aimed at re-engaging young people aged 16-18 who face significant barriers to education and employment. Developed in partnership with Career Connect, it provides bespoke employability and study skills while building independence and confidence.

Career Connect is a nationwide service that offers impartial bespoke careers information, advice and guidance to support the transition into education, employment and training.

Hosted at a local community centre to overcome accessibility challenges, the Turnaround programme offers intensive careers guidance, work experience opportunities, and pastoral support. Its pilot phase was highly successful, with 100% of participants progressing into education, employment, or training. The project has since expanded, creating 69 new learning pathways, including an online programme specifically designed for young people with special educational needs.

Sarah Collins, Director of Foundation Studies at Hugh Baird College, expressed her pride:- "We are incredibly proud to see the Turnaround Project recognised on such a prestigious platform. This programme highlights the importance of collaboration in addressing the needs of young people who face significant challenges. The success of the Turnaround Project demonstrates what can be achieved when we listen to young people, understand their needs, and work together to provide tailored support. To see so many participants progress into education, employment, or training reflects the hard work and dedication of everyone involved."
