Ahmed Mustafa, Hugh Baird College A-level Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics student, said:- "I find human biology and anatomy so interesting, I believe it's so important for students to be aware of STEM subjects and the amazing careers it can lead to. Thanks to the College, I also am part of the University of Liverpool's Scholars Programme which offers students the chance to take part in a range of activities aimed at supporting them through the transition from college to university."

Mia Hankinson, Hugh Baird College A-level Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics student, said:- "I've always loved science; I find it really interesting how the world works. Science links to everything in your everyday life and brings some fantastic opportunities. I am part of Edge Hill University's Widening Access to Medicine (WAM) Programme which, like Ahmed, prepares me for University and a career in Medicine."

Ruth Mead, Hugh Baird College Senior Curriculum Lead in A-level Maths, Science and Health, said:- "At Hugh Baird College it is so important that we celebrate weeks such as British Science Week, they give our students the opportunity to open their eyes to the range of careers that await them after their A-levels.
