The Nightingale's Song
A small crowd attended the 'Nightingale's Song' events in Sefton, that took place over the 13 March to 15 March 2020. The trilogy were part of the Sefton's year as Borough of Culture, and took place at Waterloo Town Hall, on the Friday, Bootle Town Hall, on Saturday; on Sunday, at The Atkinson, Southport. The events featured a spectacular animated large scale video projections on to the landmarks. The projections, told a 3 part story, about the connections of the area's coastal towns, bring together the spectacular nature, fauna and flora of the Sefton coastline, with its history and present day stories. Each night's projection was a unique, self contained chapter. We took a look at the last 15 minute light projection, that lit up the face of The Atkinson, on Lord Street, Southport. If you attended, please let us know what your thoughts of the events were via emailing us to:- News24@SouthportReporter.com.
