The Final Countdown to reopening Trattoria 51 in both Southport and Liverpool

THEY can't guarantee the weather, but the owners of Trattoria 51, on Old Hall Street, Liverpool, Attilio and Toni and their staff, have been working hard on the restaurant to ensure that on the Saturday, 4 July 2020, when they re-open the doors, it is safe to do so.  Attilio:- "It's been hard work but the top priority has always been the safety of our customers, their guests and my staff. You can be confident that we have taken all possible measures, including guidance provided by the Government and new HandS training for our staff to ensure that our customers will enjoy fantastic food in a safe, secure, and comfortable environment. We've really missed our customers, and we are really looking forward to seeing them enjoying some of the finest pasta, pizza and traditional Italian dishes you will find in the City."

The terrace at the Southport restaurant looks fantastic and that venue will also be opening up on the same day! The restaurants have long been a favourite with locals and visitors alike, and Attilio and Toni would like to thank all their regulars for their support during their enforced closure. They know it's going to be busy so will advise customers who would like to dine to make their reservation online or by calling the restaurant early to ensure they don't miss out.

Woodwards in Formby are getting ready to open again on 4 July 2020

WE have had a number of readers contact us about Woodwards in Formby, as the venue has covered its windows in white. The regulars have been worried that they might no be opening, but we can confirm that Woodwards will be reopening on Saturday, 4 July 2020. Owner Pat said:- "We are gearing up to serve customers outside the bar only, initially, and hoping to open inside, with appropriate safety measures in place, sometime in August 2020. We have the health and safety of our staff and customers uppermost in our minds and feel that for us, this is the best approach. For that reason, we are also restricting our opening hours from 11am to 11pm. If anyone would like more information about our plans, then please contact us via email:- Info@WoodWardsFormby.Co.UK or by messaging on Facebook. We have use the time during lockdown, to make some changes to the layout of the bar and to spruce ourselves up. We are very excited to be opening up after lockdown, and look forward to seeing our regular and new customers very soon."

Sacrebleu Bar and Coffee Lounge is getting ready to open

THE venue on Seabank Road, Southport, called Sacrebleu Bar has had a chalk board in the window, counting the days as lockdown progressed and the venue stayed closed. At times it also had the odd funny message, but now it reads:- "This Time Next Week..." They are 1 of many small venues in the Town who are getting ready to open, after lockdown restrictions start to ease, but despite the optimism, many owners are still worried. Will people come back in and support them? Also, is it safe to open yet and if they have a local lockdown, who will they pay staff? Lets hope this optimistic message stays optimistic, as many jobs depend on it, as does the Town's and countries cultural landscape.  Please, if you can, support this extremely vital part of our community, as without these unique venues, Southport would not be what it is today.
