Liverpool-based gas and electrical appliance manufacturer, Robinson Willey, has for the second year running provided practical training support for a total of 70 students studying a 32-week NVQ Level 2 in Gas Installation at Southport College.
In a day-long session at the company's head office and manufacturing site in Old Swan, Liverpool, the students received instruction and advice on fault diagnosis and the servicing of RW appliances, enjoying a tour of the factory.
Doug Bains, RW's Service Manager responsible for leading the training days, said:-
"We are delighted to have forged a training partnership with Southport College. Having manufactured gas appliances for over 40 years, we are proud to share our company philosophy and servicing and production techniques with a new generation of gas installers."
Over the years, the RW name has also become synonymous with gas fire safety and the company is responsible for pioneering a variety of safety initiatives. At its Old Swan site, RW employs a 188 strong workforce.
