A touch of the dazzling Adriatic
returns to Liverpool for Easter, on Good Friday, at 24 Kitchen Street, as:-
'The Garden Festival' goes out with a bang in what is its 10th and
final season this summer.
The original and founding Croatian festival of the now thriving scene there is
an enchanting odyssey which has grown into 1 of the world's most idyllic
experiences.
Set in a region of true beauty on the
Dalmatian coastline:- 'The Garden Festival' unites music
lovers and adventure seekers from across the world together, and is set to leave
an enchanting legacy in its home of Tisno and across the region.
To celebrate this much anticipated 10th and final instalment:- 'The Garden
Get Together Tour', which criss-crosses the UK and Europe to some of its
finest clubs, returns to Liverpool with friends, family and a towering headline
act in the shape of:- 'Nightmares on Wax', a seminal dance music
institution.
The 'Godfather' of Warp Records - there since the
label's inception - is perhaps best known for his ground breaking 90's albums
'Smoker's Delight' and 'Carboot Soul', not to mention
the cinematic lo-funk of 2006's 'In a Space Outta Sound'. As
current as ever, George Evelyn is still packing out parties around the world.
His pride and joy is his underground party on the white island - 'Wax Da
Jam' at Las Dalias which has become a go to haunt for locals, promoters
and insiders across Ibiza looking to sample the open minded good times vibe
synonymous with 'NoW'.
Supporting on the day will be some of
Liverpool's own institutions of music and furthermore, some of:- 'The
Garden Festival's' nearest and dearest in the form of:- 'No Fakin',
'Mr Paul', 'Ste Hodge', 'Mr Jonze' and
'Ad-Nice'.
'Hot Plate' and 'Madnice' once again
team up for their 3rd chapter together bringing another love in of forward
thinking eclectic music across all tempos and genres, while celebrating:-
'The Garden Festival's' legendary legacy.

Suspected firearm recovered from house in
Formby
MERSEYSIDE Police executed the warrant
at a house on Bolton Close, Formby, Merseyside, at around 11pm, on Wednesday, 25
February 2015. A full search of the property was then carried out and a small,
loaded, black handgun was recovered. As a result of the find, 3 people had been
arrested in connection with it. The handgun was then sent for further
examination and an investigation into the full circumstances surrounding the
incident is continuing. The 18 year old man, from Southport and the 2 17
year old males, from Formby, had been arrested at the property, on suspicion of
"Possession of a Firearm" have now been released, on Police Bail,
pending further enquiries. Detective Inspector Richie Jones, Matrix
Serious Organised Crime, said:- "The handgun that has been recovered will
be subject to further examination, but at this stage we believe it is a viable
weapon. This was an excellent find and a potentially lethal firearm has now been
taken off the streets. I would like to take this opportunity to reassure
communities throughout Sefton that we will be relentless in our efforts to
tackle serious and organised crime and bring those who use or store firearms to
justice. I'd continue to appeal to people with information about serious and
organised crime taking place where they live to contact MSOC Officers on:- 0800

Steve Hackett reveals new Bass/12 String Player and new tour dates

'PROG' visionary
Steve
Hackett has announced the addition of multi
talented guitarist,
Roine
Stolt to his tour line up. Stolt, known as
leading light of the 'Flower Kings' and for his association with
Transatlantic, will play bass and 12 string, occasionally also joining
Steve on guitar.
The legendary ex-Genesis
guitarist,
Steve commented:- "I'm really
pleased that Roine Stolt will be joining the band for the autumn shows on bass,
twelve string and for some songs doubling on electric guitar with me. Roine is a
truly impressive and versatile player and I particularly like his work with
other bands and artists. I have enjoyed playing with him live on more than one
occasion and I'm thrilled he's going to join the team. It's marvellous to have
both Swedish talents Roine Stolt and Nad Sylvan as part of the band for these
Hackett solo/Genesis Revisited shows."
Hackett, who releases new album:- 'Wolflight', on 30 March 2015,
will bring his:- 'Acolyte To Wolflight', with 'Genesis
Revisited Tour' to the UK in October 2015 with 19 shows. Each
performance will feature 2 sets, 1 of solo material and 1 of 'Genesis
Revisited.' The 1st will cover a vast part of Steve's discography, with
a selection of solo material from early albums including:- 'Voyage of the
Acolyte' and 'Please Don't Touch' right up to 'Wolflight';
the 2nd set will see Nad Sylvan take care of the vocals on the Genesis material.
The complete line up for the tour will include Roger King on keyboards, Gary
O'Toole on drums, Rob Townsend on sax, Roine Stolt on bass and 12 string guitar,
Nad Sylvan on vocals and Steve Hackett on guitar and vocals. Vocalist/guitarist
Amanda Lehmann will join some of the shows as special guest.
