Can you help to make a
difference?
THE Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen
University Hospitals NHS Trust is holding a volunteers recruitment event on 20
July 2016, runs from 4pm to 8pm, in the Royal's Education Centre.
The Trust is looking to grow its team of passionate volunteers, which already
has more than 200 members providing support to patients on daily basis.
The RLB Volunteer Programme, which launches in September 2016, will aim to
provide volunteers with key skills and knowledge to enhance patient experience.
As well as providing services such as way finding, providing refreshments,
supporting with bedside activities, volunteers also provide administrative
support and offer a friendly face to staff, patients and visitors.
Jenny Taylor, head of patient experience, said:- "Volunteers provide
essential support to wide range of departments across our Hospitals. They use
their own experiences to compliment the support provided by staff. Our
volunteers will gain great work experience, have access to fantastic training
opportunities and be part of team that makes a difference to our patients and
their loved ones. Come to our recruitment event and find out how you could
volunteer with us." You can find out more about the work of the groups volunteers by watching a
