The Elis James and John
Robins Experience
THE cult TV and radio comedy duo are
back. Elis James and John Robins, who are stars of the Chortle Award Nominated
Radio X weekend show and cult podcast, have announced their debut UK tour for
2016 entitled:- 'The Elis James and John Robins Experience.' The
tour takes in 20 dates starting on 6 October 2016, at the Norwich Playhouse and
culminating on 14 November 2016, at London's Kentish Town Forum. The Kentish
Town Forum is additional London show due to overwhelming public demand as the
Shepherds Bush Empire date sold out in 3 days! This comes off the back of shows
earlier this year in Cardiff and Salford that sold out months in advance. With
an army of fans this is a massive underground and cult hit that follows in the
footsteps of great Radio X podcasts from:- Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant,
Russell Brand and Adam and Joe. This podcast is unique, having created its own
world that people love being a part of with its own language. Do you know the
meaning of the following phrases and expressions? PDC? One-er? Son of a Coin?
Keep It Session? Are you on email? You simply have to be these days. This is
your chance to finally taste the vibe when Elis and John take their hit podcast
on the road! The show will mix familiar features with some specially prepared
treats and the odd #keepitsession ale. Expect 'Sacred Cows' deemed
"too obscure" (Producer Dave) for broadcast, textual healing live,
and maybe even a new chapter of A Robins Amongst The Pigeons! May contain scenes
of #maximumshunting. If the above doesn't make sense to you then do something
about it and listen to the duo's podcast! John Robins commented:- "For
over 2 years now Elis and I have been flying the flag for a number of grassroots
issues: session ales below 4.5%, 19th Century Welsh communists and the
rock band Queen, so it seems fitting that we've sold out this historic venue
with a plug on our podcast, a handful of tweets and inevitably, the odd email."
