ON 5 November 2017, The
River of Light fireworks festival lit up the Mersey and Mersey Estuary for the
2nd year running. This year conditions, on what is one of the most exciting
nights of the year were near to perfect for fireworks and the world renowned
fireworks team,
Titanium
Fireworks
did not disappoint. We decided this year not to go into the City Centre, but to
watch the River Of Light display from Crosby Beach instead. As the nation
celebrated the failure of Guy Fawkes's 'Gunpowder Plot,' it was interesting to
see the coastline, from Wales to Hightown, light up with flashes and sparks as
we awaited the display to start on the River Mersey. Our main view was of the
display being fired from Fort Perch Rock which is a former defence installation
that contains a museum. It is situated in Liverpool Bay, at New Brighton, along
with the Mersey's only Lighthouse. These are a few photos we took of the display
and also you can watch some if it, on our YouTube Channel. If you attended,
please let us know what you thought of the event. Also if you have any photos
from it, please do post them on our Facebook
