- RAILEX DONATION TO SEFTON PLAY COUNCIL
-
- RAILEX systems Ltd, the Southport based office storage and filing specialist, has shown its support for he Sefton Play Council by donating £25,000 worth of product to its 'Scrounge' facility.
Set up in 1995, the Sefton Play Council is a resource centre providing services for groups involved with play, childcare and education in the borough of Sefton.
One such service is its Scrounge area, a warehouse containing reject surplus stock from local businesses that can be recycled as arts and craft materials for play groups and childcare organisations in the area.
Contributions such as the large quantity of magnetic strips donated by Railex help make the facility a valuable resource for groups in the community that often receive little or no funding towards equipment.
As well as the Scrounge area, the Sefton Play Council also offers comprehensive play training, and runs a Summer Play Scheme.
Bill Gilmour, marketing manager at Railex Systems Ltd, comments:-
"The Sefton Play Council have turned a simp0le idea into a valuable resource for the community - we are delighted to be able to help out such a worthwhile project."
Railex is one of Southport's biggest employers and is the country's most respected provider of filing and storage systems across a wide range of sectors.
