Well I went along to this
teams selections to see what this team is going to be like
next year. I was suppressed to see a large turn
out some of them took to the seats before their big
test. But as female football is now one of the UK's
fastest growing sports and possible the Worlds fastest
growing sports it should not have come as much of a surprise.
Some came from Preston others fro South Liverpool to see if
they could join the team. The team has been growing in
popularity after last sessions phenomenal performance, but despite
the club being the equivalent to the Men's First team, they
are still not able to play on their own pitch at Hyge
Ave. This is a shame as this team is going to be one
of the leading North West teams. Is it male chauvinistic
attitudes that are stopping the Golden Girls from using the
pitch? A member of last years squad said "It
is a grate disappointment to us. We have been at the
top and are likely to go pro faster than the male team, yet
we had to play our matches on the Green Bank School Football
pitch. We see the junior male teams play on the pitch
but why can't we? We carry the clubs
name!"
