Happy
Christmas to all our readers
NO
matter if you are religious or not, this time of year we
look back and reflect on all the things we have done and
speculate what will be. 2013 has been a very hard year, of many
ups and downs. For many it has been one of sorrow
and other one of joy. We would like to know your views on 2013
and also what you think will be install for us in 2014. Let us
know if you have any new years resolutions and if you brake
them, let us know... Also please remember not to drink and drive
this New Year and check in on any elderly neighbours you might
have. Please spread the seasonal joy to them as well. All
the best from the newsroom at Southport and Mersey Reporter!
Marking a
fantastic year - the Fitness Factory Awards Event!

WHAT
a fantastic end to 2013 for the kids at The Fitness
Factory
Factory - Southport. These
little rising stars from Southport have been making waves though
out the UK over 2013. From performing at local events like the
centres StreetBeatz at the Southport Fashion
Show back in March. The
kids from the centre have also been filmed for TV adverts along
with TV Programs. In order to bring a fantastic year to a close,
the kids where given a Christmas Awards and Presentation event
at the Prince of Wales 22 December 2013. The kids aged as young
as 2 up to 17 preformed some of the skills they have learned
over the year to a packed out ball room, full of family and
friends. With comments:- "Brilliant day and nice to see so
many little smiles Well done to everyone at The Fitness Factory
Southport, for a brilliant afternoon!" it is hard to see
how they will top it of next year. Even Santa came to say Merry
Christmas. But it was not just the kids who preformed as the
instructors also took to the floor and did a set, going by the
name:- "The Xmas Crew" made up from Jeni Antrobus,
Stephanie Eccles, Amy Thompson, Arsenio Amaral and Amanda
Howard-Mercer. Well done to all the kids and also to the Fitness
Factory for flying the flag for Southport and for Merseyside so
high this year! If you did not attended, please click on

to see our photographic coverage of the event. Also please do email us
if you attended and let us know what you thought of it. Our

Sean
Connolly at Formby Books
LOCAL author Sean
Connolly
was at Formby Books on Saturday, 21
December 2013, along with a few of the
presenter on the local radio station
Mighty FM. The gang entertained shoppers
and also Sean signed quite a few books.
Let us know if you where in the village
and met the man behind the fantastic
book called:- 'British Army on the
Rampage' (B.A.O.R.) {ISBN:
9781783062928}. But it was not all fun
at the show as they also preformed a
collection for Help for Heroes (H4H). |
