DID you know that this
Easter is the earliest Easter since 1913! It will not be as
early as this until at least 2030! Sadly for businesses this
early Easter is bad news for trade as the traditional bank
holiday exodus has been thrown into confusion. But also
adding to problems are the recent changes to the school year
which are proving to be a headache for parents. Around a
third of schools in the UK are reported to be sticking to
the historic pattern of holidays and by beginning their two
week over Easter, but most of the others are adopting a new
system and will not break up until 4 April 2008 or even
later! This will have a massive impact on family life and
also on tourism. What are your views to the changes in
school holiday patterns and has it affected you? Let us know
by

Burlesque Night at the Latin Lounge
WHAT a
fantastic night... we will be brining you more about this night in
the next issue of Southport Reporter.... The night held at the Latin
Lounge, Southport on Good Friday, and it was a huge success, despite
some teething problems at the start of the night. The models
where all fantastically dressed and entertained a packed out bar, as
they strutted their stuff and showed off their dancing skills. The
wide mixture of ages watching was interesting, something we where
not expecting. For a full report and more photos, please log
on next week. But a few taster photos are in this weeks issue.
You can click here
to see them. Also please take note that we will be
selling tickets for the "Theatre of the Mind!", event
at the Latin Lounge on 5 April 2008. To find out more pop in
to the bar, or go to Matt Colman's
blog and also keep a look out here
and in the Champion Newspaper!
