as it is back... MOBO Awards in Liverpool
Photographs with thanks to
Dave Evens
THE
show will be heading back again to the City for the second time
and will be bring in many stars along the way. The MOBO Awards
is now in its 17th year and celebrates music of black origin in
the UK. MOBO’s founder, Kanya King, told the press that:-
"We had a fantastic show in Liverpool, back in 2010. It worked
well with the City and we hope that both Liverpool and fans of
the MOBO are getting ready for yet another historic event. As
normal, all nominations for the awards show are being announced
in early September." The past nominations have been acts
like Amy Winehouse, Jay-Z, Rizzle Kicks and big winner last
year, Jessie J, so who knows who will be heading to Liverpool
this year to pick up an award for their contribution to urban
music in the UK. The event will take place on Tuesday, 14 August
2012. In these photos are Mobo founder, Kanya King MBE, along
with Rizzal Kicks, a Liverpool artist, Esco Williams, and the
Deputy Lord Mayor Gary Miller, at the historic Albert Dock,
Liverpool.
